Chery Tiggo 8 PHEV Rolls Off Production Line in Pakistan Ahead of Schedule

Chery Master Pakistan has achieved a major milestone by rolling out the first locally assembled Tiggo 8 PHEV, marking one of the fastest transitions from market entry to production in the country’s automotive sector. The development signals growing momentum in Pakistan’s shift toward hybrid and electric mobility.

Backed by the industrial expertise of the Master Group, the company managed to reach production readiness in record time while maintaining global engineering standards. The first unit was rolled off in the presence of senior technical representatives from Chery China, ensuring strict quality control from the outset.

With the Start of Volume Production now underway, CKD units are currently undergoing extensive road testing. These evaluations include multiple performance checks and validation processes designed to meet international benchmarks before full-scale deliveries begin.

Positioned as Pakistan’s only seven-seater plug-in hybrid SUV in the premium D-segment, the Tiggo 8 PHEV offers a unique value proposition. Priced at PKR 11,299,000, it stands apart from smaller hybrid SUVs by combining size, performance, and advanced features in one package.

The vehicle is powered by Chery’s Super Hybrid system, pairing a 1.5 TGDI engine with dual electric motors. This setup delivers all-wheel drive capability with an impressive output of 496 horsepower and 735 Nm of torque. With an electric-only range of up to 90 kilometers and a combined range of 1200 kilometers, it caters to both daily commuting and long-distance travel.

Inside, the Tiggo 8 PHEV features a premium three-row cabin equipped with a large infotainment display and a high-end sound system. Comfort is further enhanced with advanced seating features, including a zero-gravity passenger seat with massage functionality, along with heated and ventilated options.

Safety remains a key highlight, with the SUV offering top-tier protection through multiple airbags and advanced driver assistance systems. These features position it among the safest vehicles currently available in Pakistan.

Company leadership described the achievement as a significant step forward for the local automotive industry. With strong early demand and deliveries planned ahead of schedule, Chery Master Pakistan is preparing to expand its lineup further, including upcoming hybrid models.

As production ramps up, the launch of the Tiggo 8 PHEV reflects a broader shift toward efficient and technology-driven mobility solutions in Pakistan.
