Education Department Bars Govt Employees from Political Activity and Social Media Political Promotion
The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education has issued strict guidelines prohibiting government employees from engaging in political activities or promoting political agendas on social media.
According to the notification, government employees are forbidden from participating in political rallies, processions, or any form of political gatherings. They are also barred from using their official position or government affiliation to influence political matters.
The department emphasized that employees cannot engage in political support or opposition on social media platforms, even through personal accounts. Any violation of these rules may result in departmental action, including disciplinary measures under prevailing regulations.
