The Sindh government is set to inaugurate the first phase of the Malir Expressway, a 9.1 km segment connecting Korangi Causeway to Shah Faisal, on January 11, 2025. This project is expected to significantly ease traffic and enhance connectivity across Karachi.

Security measures include patrols by traffic police, fire brigades, and ambulances. Specific zones are marked as no-parking areas, and only vehicles like cars, jeeps, and buses are permitted.
