The Sindh government is set to inaugurate the first phase of the Malir Expressway, a 9.1 km segment connecting Korangi Causeway to Shah Faisal, on January 11, 2025. This project is expected to significantly ease traffic and enhance connectivity across Karachi.

- Largest PPP Initiative: The Malir Expressway spans 40 km, linking DHA to the M-9 Motorway near Kathore.
- Advanced Features: Includes a three-lane dual carriageway, modern interchanges, and access-controlled entry points.
- Traffic Flow Enhancements: Initial phase includes ramps and flyovers for seamless movement.
Safety and Accessibility
Security measures include patrols by traffic police, fire brigades, and ambulances. Specific zones are marked as no-parking areas, and only vehicles like cars, jeeps, and buses are permitted.
