Pakistan’s Buraqi Vehicles Unveils 500-Km Electric Bike with Remarkable Affordability

A Game-Changer in Local EV Manufacturing

Buraqi Vehicles, an emerging name in Pakistan’s EV landscape, has introduced a groundbreaking electric bike capable of covering 500 kilometers on a single charge. Entirely designed and assembled domestically, this model stands as a significant leap toward self-reliance in the automotive sector.

The initiative not only offers economic commuting options but also presents a viable dealership opportunity for entrepreneurs across the country.

Motor Power and Battery Strength

The bike is equipped with a 2kW high-torque Li-Ion motor and a 10.43 kWh NCM (Nickel Cobalt Manganese) battery. This battery, notably larger than many home solar units, ensures extended range without compromising performance.

Positioning the charging port and critical electronics inside the fuel tank area enhances the bike’s compactness and long-term durability, although riders should note it is splash-resistant and not waterproof.

Speed, Features, and Daily Savings

Capable of achieving a top speed of 85 km/h—with unlockable potential exceeding 100 km/h—the bike offers four adjustable ride modes, a reverse gear, and disc brakes for both wheels. Energy consumption remains minimal, with a full recharge using approximately 11.23 units of electricity, costing around Rs. 450–500.

Pricing, Variants, and Dealership Program

The flagship model is priced at Rs. 640,000. Interestingly, the battery alone is valued higher in the solar market, effectively offering the rest of the bike at no additional cost. Buraqi’s lineup includes 11 models starting from Rs. 230,000, catering to a range of preferences.

Buraqi has also launched an aggressive dealership program, offering branding support, technical training, and workshop development. For high-usage riders such as couriers, the bike can pay for itself in under 10 months through fuel savings.
