PSB Approves $115 Daily Allowance for Pakistan Hockey Team Ahead of FIH Pro League
The Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has announced a daily allowance of $115 for players of the national hockey team participating in the upcoming FIH Pro League, providing a significant financial boost ahead of crucial international fixtures.
Director General of PSB, Muhammad Yasir Pirzada, confirmed that the allowance has been approved and will be provided throughout the team’s participation in the tournament. Players have been instructed to receive the allowance prior to departure, ensuring smooth preparations without financial or logistical distractions.
Captain Imad Butt welcomed the decision, describing it as a positive step for team morale. He noted that the improved financial support will allow players to focus entirely on performance and preparation rather than off-field concerns.
The national hockey team is scheduled to begin its FIH Pro League matches from February 10, facing top international sides, including Australia and Germany. The tournament is seen as a crucial test for Pakistan’s hockey team and a key opportunity to strengthen its standing in the global arena.
