Telenor Pakistan Completes Massive CBS Migration to Power Next-Generation Digital Services
Telenor Pakistan has successfully completed a landmark migration of its entire customer base of 90 million prepaid and postpaid subscribers to a next-generation Charging and Billing System (CBS), marking one of the world’s largest “one-go” migrations. This cloud-native platform, hosted on a private cloud, brings enhanced service resilience, geo-redundancy, and high scalability, paving the way for advanced digital services and faster innovation.
The new CBS is designed to support Pakistan’s rapidly expanding digital ecosystem, offering seamless integration through over 100 APIs. By modernizing its core infrastructure, Telenor Pakistan can now accelerate the rollout of next-generation digital services, reduce time-to-market for new offerings, and strengthen readiness for emerging technologies, including 5G.
The migration was achieved through extensive collaboration among cross-functional teams from Telenor Pakistan, Huawei, and other technology partners.
