The Sindh Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) has launched a new digitalization initiative aimed at improving environmental monitoring, governance, and public services across the province.
A key component of the initiative is the Sindh Integrated Environmental Monitoring and Management Information System (SIEMMIS), a centralized digital platform designed to bring various environmental services and monitoring activities together.
The initiative was introduced during a three-day technology exhibition held at the Expo Center Karachi, where the digital system was presented as part of efforts to modernize Sindh’s environmental management framework.
Through SIEMMIS, environmental information and related services are expected to move toward a more integrated digital structure. The system is intended to support more organized monitoring and improve access to environmental services.
The digital platform is also expected to strengthen the way environmental data is collected, managed, and used by relevant authorities. Centralizing information can help agencies maintain more consistent records and coordinate environmental monitoring activities more effectively.
