GO AI Hub Pakistan

In a major step towards deepening digital cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, GO Telecommunications Group has announced the establishment of the GO AI Hub Pakistan, set to launch in October 2025. The initiative aims to accelerate collaboration in artificial intelligence (AI), digital infrastructure, and emerging technology innovation between the two nations.

The announcement came following a high-level meeting between Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja and senior executives of GO Group at the company’s headquarters in Riyadh. The session underscored both countries’ shared commitment to advancing regional digital transformation and fostering innovation-driven growth.

According to an official statement released on Saturday, discussions focused on joint ventures in data centre development, AI research, technical talent training, and the expansion of Pakistan’s digital infrastructure. The initiative aligns with Pakistan’s long-term vision to strengthen its presence in the global digital economy.

The GO AI Hub Pakistan will function as a multidisciplinary innovation and training centre, supporting research, development, and capacity building in next-generation technologies such as machine learning, data science, cybersecurity, and cloud computing. It is expected to serve as a bridge for knowledge transfer and co-creation between Saudi and Pakistani tech sectors.

Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja praised the GO Group’s track record in AI and data-driven solutions, calling the partnership a strategic milestone in Pakistan’s digital journey. She highlighted that the project directly supports Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s “Digital Nation Vision Pakistan,” a national initiative designed to position the country as a regional hub for digital innovation and entrepreneurship.

She added that collaboration with Saudi partners not only brings investment but also provides Pakistani professionals with global exposure and training in cutting-edge technologies. This partnership, she said, reflects the strengthening economic and technological ties under the broader Pakistan-Saudi Vision 2030 cooperation framework.

The official launch event for the GO AI Hub is scheduled for October 2025, where senior government officials, technology leaders, and investors from both nations will attend. Once operational, the hub will play a critical role in training local talent, promoting innovation-led entrepreneurship, and supporting public-private partnerships to advance AI adoption in Pakistan.

The initiative marks a significant milestone in bilateral cooperation, reinforcing Pakistan’s position in the global AI landscape and opening new doors for technological collaboration across the Middle East and South Asia.
