JazzWorld Leadership Highlights Pakistan’s AI Potential at GSMA Nova Future Summit

JazzWorld leadership has highlighted Pakistan’s growing artificial intelligence potential and the need for timely investment in AI, digital infrastructure and practical technology applications during discussions on the sidelines of the GSMA Nova Future Summit in Napa Valley, California.

Aamir Ibrahim, CEO of JazzWorld, emphasized the importance of deliberate investment in artificial intelligence and scalable digital infrastructure while speaking outside the summit’s formal sessions.

He identified three key areas for countries and businesses seeking to benefit from the expansion of AI: investing in the technology now, developing the infrastructure needed to operate AI at scale, and ensuring that AI applications provide measurable value for users and organizations.

Ibrahim said countries such as Pakistan need to ensure that the existing digital divide does not develop into an intelligence divide as AI becomes increasingly integrated into economies and everyday life.

He also highlighted the infrastructure requirements associated with the next phase of AI development, including data centers and partnerships capable of supporting increasing computing demands.

According to Ibrahim, investment in AI needs to be linked to practical outcomes. He stressed the importance of applications that improve productivity, address real-world challenges and provide value that individuals and businesses are willing to pay for.

The comments were made as technology and telecommunications leaders gathered at the GSMA Nova Future Summit to discuss developments shaping the global digital economy.

The summit brought together representatives from the technology, telecom and business sectors, with discussions covering artificial intelligence, intelligent connectivity, digital infrastructure and emerging technology-driven business models.

Kazim Mujtaba, President, Jazz GSM, JazzWorld, and Fatima Akhtar, VP Corporate Communications & ESG, also attended the summit alongside Ibrahim.

AI adoption is increasing demand for computing resources, data center capacity and reliable digital connectivity. As organizations deploy more AI-based applications, telecommunications companies are expected to play an important role through network infrastructure, enterprise services and partnerships with major technology providers.

For Pakistan, the development of AI infrastructure could become an important part of the country’s broader digital transformation. Access to computing capacity, high-quality connectivity, technical expertise and investment can influence how businesses and public institutions adopt emerging technologies.

Data centers are particularly important to AI development because advanced applications require significant computing power and reliable infrastructure. Building this capacity can also require collaboration between telecommunications companies, technology providers, investors and other stakeholders.

JazzWorld’s participation at the summit provided an opportunity to discuss Pakistan’s digital and AI potential with international industry leaders.

The company’s presence also placed attention on the investments and partnerships that could support the expansion of digital infrastructure and AI applications in Pakistan.

As global businesses continue to explore AI opportunities, the focus is increasingly shifting from experimentation toward applications that can generate measurable economic and operational benefits.

The discussions at the GSMA Nova Future Summit reflect this broader transition, with AI, connectivity and infrastructure emerging as interconnected components of the next phase of digital growth.

For Pakistan, continued investment in these areas could shape the country’s ability to participate in the expanding global AI economy and develop technology applications suited to local economic and social needs.
