iQOO has quietly expanded its Z11 series with the launch of the new Z11xa, a smartphone that offers almost the same specifications as the Z11x at a lower price.
The Z11xa arrives several months after the iQOO Z11x, which was introduced in March. Despite carrying a different model name, the two phones are remarkably similar.
In fact, the iQOO Z11xa comes with the same specifications and color options as the Z11x. The main difference is that iQOO has limited the new model to a single memory configuration.
The Z11xa is available with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. This configuration is priced at approximately $306.
For comparison, the identical 8GB RAM and 128GB storage version of the iQOO Z11x costs around $327.
That makes the Z11xa roughly $21 cheaper than the equivalent Z11x configuration. For buyers who want the same hardware without needing a higher storage or memory option, the new model could offer better value.
The decision to introduce the Z11xa with a separate name may appear unusual because there are few differences between the two smartphones.
Instead of introducing major hardware changes, iQOO appears to be targeting price-conscious consumers with a more limited configuration.
By restricting the Z11xa to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, the company can position the phone below the Z11x while maintaining much of the same hardware experience.
The identical color options also mean buyers are not necessarily sacrificing appearance when choosing the cheaper model.
For consumers comparing the two devices, the biggest consideration may therefore come down to price and availability rather than specifications.
The iQOO Z11xa could be an attractive option for users who were already considering the Z11x but wanted to spend less. However, buyers should compare the prices of both models before making a decision, particularly if promotions or discounts are available for the Z11x.
With the Z11xa, iQOO is effectively giving customers another entry point into the Z11 series while keeping the hardware largely unchanged.
