Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) Group has announced strong financial results for the first half of 2026, reporting significant growth across its telecom, enterprise, and digital services businesses. The company said its performance was supported by expanding broadband services, stronger mobile operations, and the successful integration of Ufone and Telenor Pakistan under Pak Telecom Mobile Limited (PTML).
According to the company’s financial results presented at a Board of Directors meeting in Islamabad, PTCL Group’s consolidated revenue increased by 62% year-on-year during the six months ended June 30, 2026. The growth was mainly driven by continued expansion in fixed broadband, enterprise solutions, wholesale services, and improved performance in the mobile segment.
The group also reported a major improvement in profitability, with consolidated operating profit increasing by 226% compared with the same period last year. Net profit reached Rs. 4.7 billion, reflecting the impact of operational improvements, higher revenues, and benefits from the integration of Telenor Pakistan into PTML.
PTCL’s own business performance also showed positive momentum. The company recorded an 8% year-on-year increase in revenue, supported by a 27% rise in Flash Fiber revenue and 13% growth in Business Solutions. Carrier and wholesale services also contributed to growth with a 16% increase, while international business revenue improved by 3%.
During the first half of 2026, PTCL posted an operating profit of Rs. 8.5 billion and a net profit of Rs. 3.6 billion, representing a 211% year-on-year improvement. The company said its financial position was further supported by a Rs. 2 billion dividend received from the wireless segment.
PTML, the mobile business of PTCL Group, delivered significant growth following the amalgamation of Ufone and Telenor Pakistan. Revenue from the mobile segment increased by 138% year-on-year, driven by stronger customer engagement, expanded services, and improved performance across corporate and retail markets.
PTML reported an operating profit of Rs. 23.1 billion, showing a 203% year-on-year increase. The company attributed the improvement to higher revenues, operational efficiencies, and the successful integration of two major telecom networks.
The integration of Ufone and Telenor Pakistan marked one of Pakistan’s largest telecom consolidations. The combined mobile network brought together spectrum resources, infrastructure, and a wider customer base, creating opportunities for improved connectivity and enhanced customer services.
PTCL also achieved a major milestone by surpassing 900,000 Flash Fiber subscribers in the second quarter of 2026. The achievement strengthens PTCL’s position as Pakistan’s largest fiber broadband provider and reflects growing demand for high-speed internet services.
The company continued expanding its digital ecosystem through strategic partnerships and new customer solutions. PTCL introduced bundled offerings with Apple’s authorized distributor Mercantile, including MacBook Neo packages with Flash Fiber connections. It also partnered with Okasha to provide smart home solutions featuring connected devices such as smart locks and smart lighting systems.
The enterprise segment remained a key growth area, with increasing demand for cloud services, artificial intelligence infrastructure, cybersecurity solutions, managed services, and data center facilities. PTCL said these developments further strengthen its role as a technology partner for businesses and government institutions.
In the mobile sector, PTML completed on-net harmonization between Ufone and Telenor Pakistan, allowing more than 74 million subscribers to communicate seamlessly across both networks. The company also started its 5G rollout after acquiring additional spectrum in Pakistan’s 5G auction earlier in 2026.
Digital transformation remained a major focus during the period, with PTCL Group increasing investment in digital platforms and customer services. Digital recharge penetration reached 59%, while monthly active users of My Telenor and UPTCL applications also recorded growth.
Beyond business performance, PTCL Group continued its social impact initiatives in areas including healthcare, digital inclusion, online safety, and community development. The company’s postpartum depression awareness campaign reached millions of people, while the Ba-Ikhtiar programme provided digital and entrepreneurial training to thousands of women across Pakistan.
The company also collaborated with UNICEF on polio awareness campaigns and continued its clean water projects in South Punjab and Thar, helping provide sustainable drinking water access to around 150,000 people.
PTCL Group’s latest results highlight the impact of telecom consolidation, digital investment, and expanding connectivity services. With continued focus on broadband growth, 5G expansion, and technology solutions, the company aims to strengthen its position in Pakistan’s evolving digital economy.
